Due to military requirements that brass can be determined to have been annealed by appearance, all Lake City brass has the discoloration of the annealing mark on the brass. This process prolongs the life of brass however it keeps Lake City brass form being shiny and pristine like other factory new ammo. Crusader 50 BMG ammunition is manufactured using military once fired brass from Lake City ammunition.. All components are inspected twice before loading to assure the use of quality products. Brass is reconditioned so that every case is within specification, assuring proper chambering of every round. All of Crusader's 50 cal APIT ammo starts with Lake City Fired brass, pulled Lake City M20 606 grain projectiles. After manufacturing, each round of 50 BMG ammunition is inspected again to insure a consistent quality product.
Crusader 50 BMG APIT ammunition is manufactured using hand inspected, military fired brass and pull down bullets (some and possibly all bullets will have pull marks) from Lake City factory military ammo.
